Rt 27 in Carrabassett Valley has been connected

Thanks to Reed and Reed of Woolwich. The bridges on Route 27 are officially open as of 7:54 pm Tuesday night. A LeBretton truck was waiting at the south end to be the first vehicle to cross the bridges. On the way across the north end bridge, he gave a honk of his horns and a wave (more…)

Irene Hits Carrabassett Valley

The day after Irene dropped several inches of rain in  Carrabassett Valley, closing rt 27 and stranding 100s of people on Sugarloaf, we get out to take a look at some of the aftermath.
